There’s a new quilt contest to enter!

Readers have a chance to win a gorgeous quilt made by Amish women. The money goes to the yearly benefit for their community’s Amish school. Last year I was thrilled that by the end of the contest we had thousands of entrants. A few things to know: The winner of the first quilt contest was April R. of Temecula, California!
The photo above is a picture of the quilt that I recently purchased. Almost a month ago, I spent a week with my Old Order Amish friends. I planned the trip so that it coincided with their community’s school-sale auction. I love the colors in this quilt. I chose this quilt as the one to place in the contest because I think the rich shades of brown mixed with accent colors will easily match most rooms.
You can enter yourself into the contest one time. You can have a friend come by the site and enter themselves and you. One time per friend, please. If you have twenty friends come by the site, they can each enter themselves and your name one time.
-
Those entering are agreeing to have their full name and state listed. The contest will continue until December 31, 2008 and a winner will be announced January 20, 2009.
-
The winner must be a resident of the U.S. or be willing to pay the shipping costs.
-
The computer will automatically kick out any double entries and the final entry names and e-mail addresses will be double-checked by a human, so those who are entering can be confident that the contest is as fair as we can possibly make it.
-
After the first notice has been sent to the winner, she or he will have thirty days to respond. If we are not able to make contact within thirty days, a new winner will be chosen, but I will send one notice each week during those thirty days. Please remember to keep whatever e-mail address you’ve typed in for the contest entry functioning until after the drawing.
Thank you so much for participating! And thank you for being a part of my debut series:
